Well, picked up several new LPs.
First one I spun was Jazz Sabbath - The 1968 Tapes (Record Store Day 2024 mono edition).
Really great recording and song selection.

Man, I meant to do this like a month ago but the holidays, etc.

So, one of the things I've always wanted to do is make my own music. Having zero musical training has always been a pretty serious impediment there, but a few years ago at the tender age of 49 I started getting said training. And, finally, I have written some music. It's short and simple, but it's mine.

Turns out releasing music is not just about composing and playing, but recording, mixing, and mastering, and I have, with tremendous support of my teacher, learned about that as well. My goal is now to release one piece a year, so this is hopefully the first of many. Also on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc.

    Titan Horizon V2, 4x S1V2, and Rythmik L22 & L12 in HT1; Sierra-LXs in study; S-2EXs and Duo V2 C&S in bedroom; S-1s at work; HTM-200s in kitchen. Brother owns CMT-340s and dad has a pair of CBM-170s.

Thank you for sharing this! I am enjoying this and I think you did an excellent job with the mastering and mix. Well done!!!

Mixing and mastering are really, really deep rabbit holes. It was good to start with something that had only the two stems (bass and synth) because man is that a process. Next one will have more so that'll be another challenge.

The hardest thing with both is when to stop tweaking. You can just fiddle with stuff forever...
