I've been listening to a lot of Chris Rea lately. Excellent bluesy slide guitarist and also a terrific vocalist. Reminds me a bit of Mark Knopfler. He is no longer recording due to pancreatic cancer, but his catalog is excellent and worth checking out.
Pretty much any song from Tool/Lateralus IMO.
