You provide a strong argument for buying the 340’s. I am still looking at them strongly. In fact I was thinking of buying them for my LCR and mounting all 3 vertically with the LR on stands and the center on a silicone angled support that will keep the center in a 15 deg angle up towards the main sitting area. Also thinking of the 200se’s for surrounds. All of these speakers are very sensitive so the Anthem mrx540 at 100 watts per channel should be sufficient. So many choices for a HT. I’ve also been looking at Paradigm premiere and Kef Q series speakers as well but I always return to the Ascend speakers. Also considering Sierra 1 x3 for LCR

I have the 340SE as my L&R mains, driven by a Emotiva Fusion 8100 AVR, which can do 2x110W, 5x80W or 7x65W.
I have a 5.1 setup with a Rythmik L12 sub, crossed over at 80Hz, in a 18x14 room.
With the 340SEs high sensitivity and the L12 relieving them from anything below 80Hz, I can play at deafening levels, music in stereo or movies in 5.1 🙂.
Can't go wrong with the 340SE (even more so the 340SE2) for HT use with an AVR.
You have provided another positive vote for me to choose the 340’s and coincidentally I plan to purchase 2 Rythmik L12’s. I will have to ask Dave or Dina about my plan to place the center 340 vertically on the floor in front of the tv and tv stand. The stand is 21” tall and the tv is 3” above that. I plan to use a couple of acoustic mounts to keep the speaker off the floor

Dave can comment more competently than I, however the 340SE or SE2 as a vertical center should actually have a wider horizontal dispersion vs a horizontal placement.
