    Default Subwoofer cable question!

Hi everyone, ive just ordered a Rythmik F12 sub with RCA and LFE inputs and I am wondering what cable i should buy. I dont know anything about cables at all.

I contacted Rythmik themselves and they recommended the Blue Jeans LC1 cable.

I contacted Blue Jeans themselves and they said that the Belden 1505 would suffice.

Based on my limited knowledge, it seems shielding is a key consideration for aubwoofer geometry dash breeze cables.

    Questions:

Is there any way i can objectively know if one cable is better shielded than another?

Does cable length matter? I am thinking of 3 to 4 m to give me flexibility in placement.

What other numbers or specs should i look out for a good subwoofer cable?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Blue Jeans makes quality cables, but what Mag Neato posted will work just fine.

Agreed, what Mag Neato posted should work fine. Or similar from Monoprice. IMO, the Blue Jeans LC1 are a step up in construction quality and I prefer their rca jacks, particularly vs Monoprice which I used in the past. BJC a bit more expensive though. FWIW - I now use the BJC LC-1 for my subs.

Spammers are getting more and more clever these days. They often either use AI (like chatGPT) or some other source to write posts that fit in a given forum's style, thus not looking like spam at first glance.

The first post in this thread, for example, is stolen directly from a 3 year old question on Reddit.

    See link here https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/...able_question/

The OP in this thread then returned later and added a spam link to their original post (the words "geometry dash breeze" contain an embedded spam link).

Indeed, and it has become a real daily hassle. It often makes me reconsider having our own dedicated forum. I fully appreciate your efforts Beave!

I'm sure it's very frustrating for you.

On a near daily basis, I visit this and a couple of other audio sites, and a forum for a health issue I have, and one sports-related forum. And spam is an ongoing problem on all of them.

Practically every forum on earth attracts spammers.

What's most frustrating, though, is that the spam is so frequently completely unrelated to the forum, and utterly pointless in terms of actually doing what the spammer hopes.

A forum for a certain college basketball team in middle America probably doesn't have many readers looking for a tax attorney in Sydney Australia or a casino in Vietnam.

Nearly always the spam is completely irrelevant to the people who might see it.

So the spammers are wasting their own time just as they waste our time. But it never ends.
