Default How to connect Rhythmik subs with a Willsenton R8 Tube Amp?

    Hello Friends,

I apologize if I'm posting this is in the wrong sub, maybe this should be in setup and how to's. I'm still a newb and I'm trying to figure out how to connect my two (or if that's not possible, 1) of my Rhythmik LVX12 subs to a Willsenton R8 tube int. amp.

    https://www.rythmikaudio.com/LVX12.html
    https://www.amazon.com/Willsenton-R8.../dp/B08134V3VK

I don't know how I would connect these. I have not yet purchased the R8 but I plan to as soon as I finishing my move next month

    Many thanks!

I'm not sure it can be done. You'd need high level inputs/outputs on the sub (run the speaker wires to sub and then from sub to speakers for the highs).

As racrawford65 said, your sub's amp will have to have binding post (speaker wire) connectivity first and foremost. Doesn't appear to be any on your sub, but I don't have your sub so you will have to verify.

If there are no speaker level connections (High level), you would have to use an adapter such as this:
    https://www.crutchfield.com/S-PBdEuv...8aAlD9EALw_wcB

You would run speaker wire from the amp speaker posts to both your main speakers and to this converter simultaneously with jumpers from the binding posts, then run RCA cables from the converter to the sub. The sub has an adjustable crossover for the bass, but the speakers will get the full range signal.

Here's a video that should help no matter what the case is with your sub's connections:

    Where there's a will, there's a way!

Also, if a hi-pass filter is desired, I believe you can install some sort of inline filter to the main speakers to roll off the bass to them. Maybe just a capacitor inline with the speaker connection?

You could use a preamp with base management, and the pre-in input.

He has a Willsenton tube integrated amp, so I don't think that's an option.

If you look at the rear panel photo of the integrated amp from the origional post, you can see there is an input labeled "pre-in" which will accept any volume controlled line input. The Rythmic inputs are exactly the same type. Thus any good preamp can be connected directly to the Willsenton and the Rythmik. Of course, you would be bypassing the preamp stage of the new integrated.

Some subs have speaker level inpuits built in, and I just realized the LVX12 does have this feature.

Hey Provos, unfortunately the LVX 12 does not have speaker level inputs. Thank you for your help tho!

Ed, sorry for the late reply but thanks so much for getting back to me. I will try the converter. I hope it doesn't introduce any hum. But I really thank you. I didn't even know that was an option. Awesome!
