i just sold all of my axiom speakers and now i'm 'speakerless' - aka naked home theatre. hehe []
i will say that it's not totally out of the question that i'll be going with the ascends sometime soon. i can't get over their value. i was going to get paradigm studios, but they are not cheap at all. i'm not sure if i can justify paying that much for speakers.

i'd like to see some pictures of people who have cmt-340 L/R speakers on the custom stands.

I think you will find that the Ascends compare very well to the Paradigm Studios. I compared my CMT-340's side by side with Studio 60's....outside of bass extension, the CMT-340's sounded much better than the Studio 60's....IMO. I also got the same feeling with the CBM-170's and Studio 20's and 40's, although I did not have them side by side.

Comparing 170s to Studio 20s I feel the same way as Curtis does w/340 v 60s

Depending on what you sold your Axioms for, you will probably come out ahead on a set of Ascends.
