I conceed your point. I agree that it was good... at first.
As with many other TV shows, they are pulled long after they 'jump the shark'.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I thought the movies was just ok. I love firefly, and have my dvr record it so I can re-watch an episode at any time.
I don't know what it was about serenity that turned me off. It really bothered me that they killed off two of the main characters. Also, I couldn't quite follow why the assasin and mal turned out to be best buds at the end. I thought the ending was kinda weak.
Maybe I was just expecting too much, especially after watching all of the trailers. Of course if they do any more, I will still gladly watch it.
