Hello, I've been lurking a while and decided it was finally time to register.

I've been in pursuit of my ideal movie watching/music listening/video gaming setup since 2008. I finished 2/3 of our basement for said endeavor even though I never expected it to consume me as time went on.

What started with a simple setup, which consisted of a 40" Samsung LCD TV, a Harman Kardon AVR, in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for front and rear L&R, a Kilpsch Synergy C1 center, and a BIC subwoofer, evolved into much more but I'm always left with wanting more.

It still is very simple compared to what others have but I want to elevate to what I feel is the best I can afford and the best the space can offer.

Here is my current setup:
Onkyo TX-NR7100
Klipsch R-5800 W II (Front L & R)
Ascend CMT-340 (just swapped out a Monoprice Encore C6 Center)
Klipsch R-41SA (Front Heights)
Klipsch CDT 5650 C II (Mid-heights)
**** Model 31 Rear surrounds
SVS PB-2000 Pro
Samsung Q80T (daily viewing)
BenQ HT2060 (movie nights)

I want to update my front speakers and have been close to purchasing a pair of the CMT-340SE2 with towers a few times. As soon as I am ready to buy, I sit back down and push the Klipsch to their limits (or mine) and wonder if I'll hear the difference. Even with treble turned down and 3 less dB on the tweeters, I find the listening fatiguing and wonder if I will feel that way with the Ascends. My setup never ceases to amaze me but I'm wondering if there's more to gain with just switching the fronts to Ascends?

Has anyone made the switch from something they felt was best for them to the CMT340SE2's and never looked back? I've posed similar questions elsewhere and aside from the Klipsch being known as "bright", some have suggested that the sensitivity level on the Klipsch would make it hard to justify moving to the Ascends. (My Klipsch are 94dB; CMT-340SE2 are 96dB).

Thanks in advance and apologies if I've left out pertinent information.
