Default What are you using for Atmos and Surround Speakers

    Good evening everyone.
I purchased the Sierra 1v2 and I love them! I am looking to expand from a 2.2 to 5.4.2. I can't use the HTM 200 SE speakers and will have to go in-ceiling. What have people used and got good results? Or does it really matter what in-ceiling speakers to use?

    Thank you.

I'm currently using two HTIB surround speakers which are pretty garbage and two KLH speakers my dad gave me a while back. I'm hoping the HTM-200SE go on sale for memorial day. I dont want to climb back up to put speakers until I have the ones I want up there permanently.

Hmm.. highly doubtful HTM-200SE will be put on sale, I don't think we have ever had a sale on them. At this point, with this current economy (massive inflation) there will likely be a slight price increase sometime before the end of this year. Our profit margin on these at the current price is far too low.

Thanks for letting me know, a good excuse to pick them up sooner than later.

Any tip on getting more tilt? One mount I'm using is too close to the wall and limiting how much I can tilt the htm-200se down. I am using BS-218pro Universal Speaker Wall... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09QJZWPQW...p_mob_ap_share

Attach the mount to the bottom of the speaker so less cabinet below the pivot. May have to flip the speaker over (don't recall if the insert is towards the top or bottom of the cabinet).

Or, space the mount off the wall if possible.

For vaulted ceiling reasons, I can't do in-ceilings but I can do front and rear heights. For SAF reasons, they have to be white. So they aren't Ascends (sorry, Dave), but they're similar in size to the HTM-200s. I use the same wall mounts and also need pretty steep angles, which run into the same problem.

The good news is those mounts come with bow irons that can be screwed on to the back of the speaker. If you put them low enough on the speaker, you can handle more extreme mount angles. (My rear heights are angled down 65°, which isn't quite fully horizontal but it's pretty steep.)
