    Curtis -
    are all the Outlaw amps still made by ATI? I'm wondering if the less expensive ones are outsourced from China (as they look alot like the old Emotiva UPA amps)?

    * Anthem AVM90, Rogue ST100, VTV Pascal 7 ch
    * Sierra Towers/Horizon (all ELX RAAL), S2EXv2 surrounds, HTM200SEx4 heights, Rythmik E15HPx2
    * VPI Classic 1+ (VTA & Fatboy Gimbal), PE Eagle/RR, VAS NOVA, Soundsmith Paua, Manley Chinook, Bob's Devices SUT, SugarCube 1 mini
    * Oppo 203 & 103D, EverSolo DMP-A6
    * miniDSP Flex, Audiosensibility & Blue Jeans cables, Symposium & Isoacoustics, GIK

    My understanding is the multichannel amps are still made by ATI. The mono 2220 is not made by ATI.

    I hope I'm right and they didn't go with whoever makes the Emotiva amps.

    I just googled. I think I am in the wrong!! None are made by ATI. Kind of breaks my heart!

    Then the Monoprice Monoliths are the way to go in that regard.

    Definitely agree with you, Curtis. I thought the 7220 and 7900 may still be ATI-made amps, but guess not.

    Is there something particular about ATI that makes them better?

    Better than what?

    As I recall, ATI offers 7 year warranty, build their own toroidal transformers in-house, made in USA, and likely have better resale value.

    and I will add, a very solid reputation.

    I do not recall ever reading anything negative about ATI.

    I have owned a ATI 1505 for 15 plus years, and I am the second owner. It is now my back-up amp as I can't bare to get rid of it. I have a class D amp right now that I love, but I don't know if it will have the longevity of the ATI, so I keep the ATI as a spare.

    Better than the emotiva's you mentioned. I've heard of ATI before, and people always said good things, and I've always just been kind of curious what it is about ATI that makes everyone always speak so good about them.

    I always appreciate a solid brand, top to bottom.
