Anyone using a Topping LA90 to drive their LXs? Curious if it has enough power. Thanks.

The Topping LA90 is supposed to be very nice, but power is modest. I’m not sure you you will have much headroom. ASR measured 36 watts per channel at 8 ohms with 1% distortion. If you don't listen very loud, you may be fine.
Read the power requirements at the specifications section of this page:

3 Feet or Less 3 watts minimum 9 Feet or Less 33 watts minimum 15 Feet or Less 90 watts minimum 21 Feet or More 180 watts minimum

Would the ex2 be a better choice?

Maximum measured power of this amp into 8 ohms is only 36 watts. With that amount of power and at your listening distance, you will be able to achieve peak output levels of approx 95-96dB. 96dB is considered quite loud, so if you tend to listen below this volume level, it is a fine choice.
How would crossing over the speakers at 80hz or 60hz affect these distances and minimum power ratings?
It should improve it though since the amp doesn't need to provide power at these lower frequencies but by how much?
An amplifier channel under full range load will be under more stress from lower frequencies than anything else. I think this is the motive for your question.
But, if we presume that the power recommendations per distance for a reasonable listening level already presume that the amplifier being used isn't under stress at full range, then the wattage indicated gets all frequencies out the door to the listening distance at the level indicated. Crossing over the speaks higher has the potential to remove stress from an amp, but doesn't make everything in the high pass louder necessarily.
