Default Spade Size Help for Sierra LX

Hello, I am looking at Blue Jeans Cable for speaker wires and they offer 6.3 mm, 7mm and 9.2 mm spades. I saw an old thread here where Dave answered a question from someone that said their 6.5mm spades didn't fit and he recommended 8mm. BJC doesn't have an 8mm option from what I see.

Has anyone used 7mm spades from BJC for Ascend Acoustic speakers? Will 7mm spades fit better than 9.2 for Sierra LX and a horizon center? BJC website makes it sound like 7mm should fit most speakers and that it's better to have the smallest fitting spade for the post.
    Thanks for any help!

I use BJC speaker cables, but use bananas not spades.

    thanks for the info Soupial.

Turns out 7mm spades do not fit after all. Just got my speakers yesterday and gave it go. looks like I need the 9.2mm!

The outer diameter of the binding post shaft (where a spade connector would be inserted) is 8mm.

    Thanks Dave
Just to close the loop on this, I did try the 9.2mm spade and it was very loose.
I am now going with locking banana plugs for the win.
