Parametric EQ on Yamaha

Eddie, there have been reports that the auto-eq systems in the Yamahas, Denons, and Pioneers are not always desireable.

Yeah, I'd read reports saying the same thing, but it always sounded great to me.......that is until I turned off the parametric eq. I don't know if it's the eq or my preference for a more detailed sound. The speakers don't sound bright or fatiguing.....just more detailed, more right. I love my receiver, but YPAO doesn't seem to be the end-all-be-all....just a jumping off point for calibration.
