Default Hello from the North Coast - Ohio

I am a new member to the Ascend Forum. I currently have no sound system at all, but have had one in the past.

I am looking at Ascend Towers and would greatly appreciate hearing a demo from anyone in the North East Ohio area. I am having a difficult time pulling the trigger on a speaker purchase without hearing them!

History: I have had some type of sound system since high school, but have been without a system for the past 6 years when we built a new house. My last system was built around KEF speakers including 104/2 mains. I have looked at PSB, Paradigm, B&W and Klipsch locally. I have found it difficult to pull the trigger on the Ascend Towers without hearing them. Now that I am retired I would like to have a great room theater system with quality music and movie sound.

I would appreciate any help available from owners of Ascend towers within a 2 hour drive of the greater Cleveland area.

Welcome to the Ascend forum, Kefman!

Although I do not own the towers, I have the Sierra-NrT's. If you cannot audition the towers locally, you are welcome to stop by to give them a listen. I think they will give you enough of the Ascend sound to help make the decision easier. I run them in a 2.1 setup with a Rythmik 12" sub.

    I'm in Strongsville.

Thanks for the response Mag_Neato. I will wait a few days and see what develops.

I too believe the Sierra 1's with NrT's will help me decide.

Life has gone a Bit crazy for me too..... Should resolve in a week or so....

Love to listen to the Ascends. I am fairly convinced, but nothing like the real deal to set one's mind at ease....

Kerman: how did you come out? Looking at Klipsch rb81 vs Sierra 1s myself?

I'm curious as well, Kefman. I never received a PM from Sonic Ray since last posting in this thread. I, too, was interested in auditioning the towers but his and my schedules were never in sync.

What did you end up doing?

Might have a better chance at a response if you sent him a PM. If you look at Kefman's profile, he has not been on the forum since 2/11/13.
