Hi Dave and other members, is my understanding correct that to setup the sub into a 5.1 system,
1. First use Dave's initial setting for the sub in post 1
2. Run thru the AVR room EQ (such as YPAO in my Yamaha)
3. Change all speakers to small, if not already, set crossover to 80 or 60
4. Change the sub distance by using the distance setting in Rythmik's sub tuner java app
5. Increase sub volume level as desired to fine tune.
6. Turn down sub crossover to fine tune
Thank you in advance.
What would be a good LPF setting for my LV12r paired up with CMT-340 se fronts and htm-200 se surrounds if I do equal 2 Chanel music and surround sound home theater? Also, would Med 22hz be a good compromise with the damping setting since I do both or is 19hz low still recomended? Enclosed room 13x18X8. Thanks.
I'm running a 2 channel system in a corrected listening space.
I have my F12SE crossover set to about 50 - 55 hz in concert with Sierra 2s, with gain about 50%
It sounds very good to me, with lots of detail coming from the Sierras, and a lower end "punch" from the sub
Any reason to consider a different setting(s)?
I am looking at dual L22 subs.
What would the settings be for music? I don't care about house shaking LFE. Nor,do I want to spend hours trying to tweak little knobs behind the unit.
Thanks. I have found that if anything has too many adjustments I have a hard time getting it dialed in. I am close to buying Subs now...a hard decision for me. I have mentioned our rambunctious hairy Jack Russell Terriers before. For this reason, SVS Subs are still in the equation due to their metal grills.
I have had several servo subs, and realize the advantages.
Our new home is behind schedule, and this has given me several months to decide. I am to the point where my brain is frozen.
