Default Rhythmic sub location with Sierra 1s

I have a pair of Sierra 1s which are fabulous. I use them for 2 channel music only. I want to purchase the Rhythmic 12SE sub and place it approx. 5 feet from the Sierras, to one side. In order to hide the amp/wiring the cone would be facing the Sierras'. Is this OK? What is the best location for a sub?

I would say generally the best place would be somewhere between your speakers. As far as where the driver of the sub faces it really won't matter much because low frequency sound waves are for the most part non-directional.

if you can, put the sub on the couch where you usually listen, and then crawl around in the areas you are thinking of placing the sub. put on something with good bass that uses the sub. wherever you hear the bass the loudest/best while crawling around is where the sub should go.

That is hilarious and sort of makes sense at the same time. Can you post an instructional video demonstrating this please.
