Wall mounting is simple (my rears are now wall mounted). Ascend sells wall mounting brackets for them that fit directly into the inserts on the back of the speaker (the 2 screw holes on the back).

Thansk Randy! Just 1 question. On the website it says the 170's are not recommended for use with the BT5 Adjustable Wall Mount Brackets. Do you know why this is? The Omnimount Series 20 Wall Mount Bracket is kinda pricy since they are not sold in pairs, and I need 4 of them. Is anyone currently using the BT5 wallmount bracket with their 170's? thanks

I believe the BT5 does not handle the weight of the CBM-170 well.

If you look at some other online shops, I think you can find he Omnimount cheaper.

Curtis is right. It's the weight. I'm probably going to order a pair of the Omnimount 20s soon as I think the overall room setup would be nicer without stands in the back.

Ascend's CBM-170s hae two screw holes in the back that accept Omnimount 20 mounting plate without modification. Ascend does sell the Omnimount on their website but the same mounts can be found cheaper online from other sites.

A little pricy perhaps, but in line with other 20lb speaker mounts out there. I use them and have found them to work wonderfully.
