    Default Amplifier section requirements

I'm seriously considering ordering of the Ascend CBM-170. However, I'm using an old (but beautiful) Sansui 8900 ZDB receiver, which features 125 w/ch, but I'm not sure of the "headroom" provided by the electronics.

My room size is 12x15, approximately, with a fairly bright environment.

Are there any limitations of this setup that I should know about, with regards to driving the CBM-170s effectively?

    Thank you.

You should have no problems at all with that receiver. Ascend speakers are relatively easy to drive.

    Thanks, curtis!

Another question. Am I going to need a subwoofer with these? Or would I be better off with the 340SEs?

    Thank you.

Is this the same Lonewolf from Audiocirlce (42 over there instead of 47)?

I think the 170s should have a sub and I agree that your Sansui should power them quite well.
