Right now I have a pair of ACI Sapphires at home, and should be getting a pair of GR Research A/V-2's today. I really get a kick out of hearing good stuff.

Believe it or not I'm still not finished. I had a
guy build me some cabinets so that they will go from looking
like this:



to this:



I'm very excited to be getting those shipped to me next week!

Also, I was having a problem getting enough bass, and my Aiwa subwoofer is nasty and I was thinking "Why not just build one of those too?"

So partsexpress.com had a 15" sub driver for sale for $75.00 and I couldn't pass up the chance to at least try. I got with a buddy who has a table saw and $200 and several hours later I had this beast:


It's got real extension down to 20Hz, but most importantly it plays more than one note. I need to sand it down and veneer or something but my wife says "I'm just gonna throw a table cloth over it and use it as an end table."

It's been real fun that's for sure!

That's the guy who built those cabinets webpage. It takes him a month to make a pair of cabinets but it might be worth the wait!

I'm still thinking late February to do the "temporary speaker trade" Curtis. Gotta get them finished first though.
