Re: The Tower Discussion Thread!
I need a favor please. Could someone measure from the floor up to where the bottom outer edge of the first woofer begins on the tower. The reason I ask is because the arm rest on a love seat we have in the family room would be about 12" in front of the bottom woofer and may be partically blocking it from the listening area.
Thanks

I'll be happy to oblige, when my son and his buddies get done using the theater. ;)
I should have an answer for you in a couple of hours.

^^^The bottom of the lowest woofer is right at 20" above the floor. You can add about an inch to the height if you are using spikes and the dimpled flat washers under the spikes. If you have clearance issues you could always build a MDF box a few inches tall to get the speakers where you need them.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I might just be better off getting two more STC Horizon's and securing them with Quake putty to the TP-24 stands I have now with the 340SE's. I think that might be pretty cool

Having three Horizons across the front would be VERY cool! ;)

We had several local pickups today, including 2 demos.
Here are a few more iPhone pics of a pair of Satin Espresso's with the custom RAAL ribbon tweeter upgrade. These pics are not good but I wanted to give you something. I do plan on taking some better pictures of these tomorrow, there simply wasn't enough time in the day today (or enough coffee)
To those who visited us today -- if you are reading this, please post your thoughts and pcitures of YOUR Sierra Towers :)
Thanks and enjoy!
I notice that speaker wire in the background is the same Belden 1307A or 1309A that I use as my "staple" hookup cable for installs.

Sure, OK -- how about track 9, "Querido Amigo" off of Jesse Cook's Free Fall CD.

I had to YouTube this one. After that, I ended up at Amazon listening to the rest of the tracks. Great choice for demo material!
So...yeah, I just bought the CD album. :D
Once my new Horizon arrives next week, this will be the first official album I shall play.
