My first thought is, "let us know what sub(s) you are referring to!"
My second thought is, "I'm going to hold off on any subwoofer purchase until I see what you've got under your hat..."
As you've mentioned before, it's a bold move stepping in to the already over-crowded subwoofer market. But if you're going to have something you're proud enough of to actually release, I definitely want to hear it!

I got the idea somewhere that Dave beta-ed it for SVS and offered up some suggestions that made it into that sub.
ACI's Force is my first choice, of what I've heard, at that price and size. I'm not a fan of the present design of the Force.

Indeed, it is a great little subwoofer! As mentioned, I recommend it often :)
Re: Let’s talk subwoofers...
how do these compare to direct servos? i'm looking heavily into rythmikaudio's 12" sealed units; with their subbox plans does anyone know where this would sit in a comparison chart? it's not too often people compare a diy with a pre-built; however, the direct servo technology makes too much sense to not pass it up, I'm just surprised that more speaker types don't utilize it, perhaps it is the patent that holds manufacturers back.

Rythmik's direct servo subwoofers are exceptional and highly recommended!

you're probably right, i hear nothing but good news; but, it would be nice to see some comparisons or more detailed specs from them, even if it detailed the driver by itself or a completed box using their diy plans. i'd hate to do all that work and find out it is not exactly what i expected, ya know?

You don't have to build a box.....Rythmik sells assembled subwoofers. You buy the amp, driver, and enclosure from them....and Rythmik will assemble it at no charge.

Where does it say that? According to what I saw on their site, the choices were either DIY or have a cabinet maker do it. Perhaps I looked in the wrong place.
Re: Let’s talk subwoofers...
they recommend a canadian cabinet maker, and a single american cab maker that have been used in the past, but i don't think rythmik makes the cabs themself, just provided plans. but to be honest, i'm not sure what's up as they (brian i think it is) hasn't answered my email about the plans :( maybe it's a long weekend for rythmik! :\
