View Full Version : Recommendation for in-Ceiling baffled Rear surrounds voiced like Duos/Lunas?
About to install:
Front L/C/R- Sierra Duos V2
Sides- Sierra Lunas V2
Atmos- HTM-200s (2)
Sub- Rythmic E15HP
for a 7.1.2 setup in my house, only in-ceiling, baffled speakers will work for the Rear Surrounds AND be accepted by my wife, since they will be mounted in the ajoining Kitchen ceiling.
Any recommendations that don't break the (already broke) bank?
Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim
I think Dave generally recommends Sonance speakers for in-ceiling.
I've also seen (maybe on this forum) someone mount the HTM's in-ceiling. Would just need to find some white grilles.

If your budget conscious..."Sonance"...aren't by any means cheap... which opens up a multitude of option at that range. If your primary focus is for HT... moreso...just research specs that might closely resemble your current speakers response, sensitivity and go from there.
In the end, I'm using MA...they fit my budget and had tweaking options for boundary, frequency settings with adjustable tweeter and fit the aesthetical rational...in my final decision.

Perhaps these? The price is per pair:

Hard to tell about the voicing, though.
I have a set of these and am very happy. I have the S2EX fronts and duo center.
