I'm a long-time happy Ascend owner that started out with a set of 3 original CBM-130s way back in the day (that I still own) and replaced those in my home theater with a set of 3 Sierra 1s. The CBMs have migrated to the bedroom where there perfect for the AV system there and the Sierra 1s I couldn't be happier with in our dedicated home theater.

But I've come to the point where I want to upgrade the music system in our living room (mostly vinyl listening with some CDs) and get something with the RAAL tweeters everyone loves so much. They need to be stand-mounts but not necessarily full range since I do have a sub available to use if need be. I've always had an affection for dual-driver bookshelf speakers since owning a pair if Paradigm Reference Studio 40s long ago and the new Luna Duos are therefore an intriguing option. The other option of course is the Sierra 2EX. The price differential is small and not a factor, but I'd obviously like to choose the option that would sound best playing vinyl in a medium-sized living room. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

What sub do you have?

I have an SVS 10-inch sub that I've been using in a stereo setup and have been very happy with.

I own both and while the Lunas are great speakers, I’d recommend the 2EXs over them any day, especially for your room size.
