Looking for suggestions.. This is not for my place, Iam helping someone put together a system for their dedicated media room (2000 CuFt; 100% Movies/Netfix; 5.1.4; Marantz AVR SR7011; Rythmik L12; Height Channels/4 - RSL 34CE; Not your typical HiFi Enthusiasts; Just need a decent media room) Having said that, I have Aperion Verus Grand at my place and they like my system.
However, I think it will be overkill (if at all better, as i have personally never listened/auditioned to any of the Ascend Offerings).. Thinking of CMT-340 SE mains with the corresponding pedestals and CMT-340 SE center for the front sound stage. There is more than $1K difference between the two.
Q1. Has anyone auditioned both the products and can offer your insights?
Q2. If going with Ascend, What do you recommend for Side Surrounds? Like Bipole, But wanted to see if i can get some suggestions.

Aware of the fact that iam seeking this on a Ascend Forum.

340's across the front would be a very respectable option for HT. IMO, all Ascend speakers punch way above their weight and these are no exception. Might consider 170s for surround.
This would be more than "decent" and won't break the bank.
