Wasn't that quite some time ago as well. Maybe $700 is reasonable now?

But I do understand the above objection on the cost. If one bought Sierra 1s with these bamboo stands then you are up to about $1500 to $1600. Why not just spend the extra money and get the Sierra towers at that point. Same argument goes for the Sierra 2s versus the Sierra towers with the Raal ribbon tweeter.

Yes it was...and it was mainly for materials.

You might want to check with a local woodworker/cabinet maker on what they might be able to do.

I believe this is the same person (Jason?) that made the stands for Curtis and he was selling these trio of stands at cost, which should give you an idea of how much material costs were

Too bad he is not making them anymore, IMO, the stand Curtis has is way better than the $750 sets anyway
