I have my center Sierra-1 NrT crossed at 40 while sides are at 60. I made center chanel cross at 40 because I was concerned about human voice going to the sub (some guy mentioned this problem ,... I didn't have that problem but changed to 40 just in case).

Is this a major no no?

I wouldn't call it a "major" no-no, but I would say it's too low. Although the speakers may be able to produce some output down to about 40Hz, it's almost a certainty that the subwoofer will be able to produce 40-60Hz, and likely 40-80Hz, with less THD and less dynamic compression than the Sierra woofers can. I'd set the crossovers at 80Hz all around. That way the sub is covering the range it's best at, and the speakers are covering the range they're best at.

I agree with Beave.

My Sierra-1's are crossed at 80hz to my Rythmik F15HP.

If a voice gets that low(very rare)...then let that part come through the sub. Nothing wrong with that. The harmonics will still come through the speakers.
