Posting my experience here

I bought all my speaker cables, HDMI cables and other accessories from monoprice. First cable to go out was the 50ft HDMI cable that was run from the projector to the AV console at the front of the room. This cable got broken just because of the cable's weight itself. I had to pay $$$ again to the installer to replace this cable and re run it.

I ordered a replace HDMI cable from bluejeans but returned it after seeing that it also looked like it is heavy. I went again with monoprice but this time ordered their redmere cable which is less heavy. I don't know how it will stand up but who imagines cables to be broken often?

Now the RCA/subwoofer cable gave in. This is again a issue as my sub is placed near field and the cable is run full length to the front of the room.

I guess I was wrong in going with monoprice as the quality of products of they sell has come down a lot it seems.

This time I want to go with Bluejeans cables ( both speaker cable and subwoofer cables) as they seem to be of good quality. They are definitely pricey than mono price but I guess it pays for itself when I don't have to go through the hassle of spending more money to replace stuff that is of cheap quality.

Can some one suggest me if Bluejeans is a good option instead of spending a lot on Monster or AudioQuest cables.

Thanks
Ron

If you want quality, BlueJeansCable is the place to go. They are literally broadcast quality. Need a 500 foot run? Bluejeans has you covered.

That said, when I want lower prices, I go to sewelldirect.com .

For what it's worth.

I use monoprice.com for HDMI, Apple certified, USB, and digital optical cables...never have had a problem, but none of them are longer than 10ft.

For my interconnects...between the pre/pro and amp, they are BlueJeans...they've got to be getting close to 10 years old....never an issue as well.

Speaker cables....I made my own out of Canare 4S11 cable. I put a nice jacket on them, and they look nice...but terminations don't look professional. :)

sewelldirect.com looks to have some excellent pricing! Thanks FR!

I make my own cables. But some of those companies charge almost nothing over the labor cost and material cost for their high quality cables.

MarkerTek is also a good resource for cables and often sell the bulk wire that bluejeans sells for less. This is where I usually buy my Neutrik connectors and cables. Mogami for my XLR balanced. Belden for my bulk speaker wire. Various other wires for my soldering needs.

Monoprice has an outstanding warranty on their cables, did you try contacting them? It sucks you had to pay for the installer to come back, but I've had their iPod cable wear out twice from use and both times they sent me a replacement for free through chat.

In my case it was the installer who bought the cable from them. I still had to pay my installer  but my point was that two cables from that company broke speaking to the quality of their stuff.

Bluejeans quality is as good if not better than the aforementioned cables. You end up paying for the name with Monster et all. With Blue Jeans you're getting cable made by OEM manufacturers that have Blue Jean stamped on them ratherr than ???.Buy the blue jean cable and save the money.I've never been let down by anything they sell and have used miles in installs!
