I currently have got 170's as my surround sides and rears but I can not aim them far enough down for aiming at the MLP. So I was wondering if I could turn them upside down with the tweeter on the bottom with out any ill affects on the speaker itself?

The speaker will be just fine upside down. I've not heard any reports of dizziness or disorientation from doing that!!

Mag is correct, in fact -- generally speaking, if the tweeter is going to be significantly above ear-level, flipping the speaker vertically is recommended.

Thanks for the answer. I didn't want to go ahead with turning them and find out I would screw them up somehow.

I will turn them and tape a travel sickness pill to the side, should take care of that. :0
