I have a Denon 4311 and when I run set up it says my center is out of phase. Anyone run into this issue? From reading on the web I'm getting mixed advice. Some sources say to disregard, that some centers are purposely wired out of phase, and other comments/articles suggest something could be wrong. Curious if anyone else ran into this issue...

Ahhh never mind, I found the issue. The banana plugs going to the AVR were reversed. During install I had a ton of balls in the air (modifying media console, prepping wires, installed AVR, etc.) and so I reversed the banana plugs in haste. Going to rerun Audyssey.

Will you be using regular Audyssey or Audyssey Flat curve? Curious how your results will come out.

To date I've only used regular Audyssey but will experiment with the flat curve -- heard the flat curve may lend itself to music listening (I typically bypass Audyssey for music).

After rerunning Audyssey (first time with a tripod) and correcting the phase on the center, and some brief listening (mostly movies, nothing too dynamic), I'm liking what I'm hearing so far. The center sounds less veiled -- out of phase it sounded like the sound was within the speaker, if that makes sense. It's not a huge difference and some of it could be attributed to rerunning Audyssey, but it definitely sounds different in a good way.

I think it's funny that I've been running the Horizon all this time out of phase and it still sounded good. Maybe that's a new marketing slogan, "speakers so good you can run them out of phase".
