This seems like an interesting concept. I know Thiel employs strictly 1st order crossovers. I have seen that Anthony Gallo Acoustics employs no crossovers in many speakers and Totem's flagship does not have a crossover. What are the pros and cons of these arrangements?

I guess that looking at the Totem measurements of their flagship speakers you should have a good idea of the cons of not having any crossover.. :p

But no seriously, I'd like to see their measurements. But they do use crossovers: "No active or passive cross-over parts in the woofer section". I take it you were talking about their last elements line... (http://www.avsforum.com/t/1298717/totem-elements)

Anyhow, I guess in the perfect world you'd have drivers which necessitate no crossovers, but I'm guessing that making drivers so that they didn't require any crossover would bring its own set of compromises which in the end might not be superior to regular drivers and crossovers... Crossovers might be the lesser evil of the two. Anyhow, cheap speakers have have been using no crossovers 'forever'...
