Tower owners unofficial survey: Crossover settings

I'm curious how other tower owners have their crossovers set with their subwoofers. Feel free to chime in on your preferred setting. List your sub, preferred crossover setting, and type of listening you do.

I have ribbon towers and a Rythmik D15-SE. Right now i have the towers crossed at 40hz just to fill in the bottom. I'm losing some of the tightly integrated sound if i cross it any higher than 60, especially at lower volumes.

I've only been experimenting with music the past 2 days. No movies yet.

Have you tried adjusting the phase on the sub?

Not manually. I followed Brian's recommendation to let Audessey calculate it. Have you had luck with manual adjustments?

I manually did it with my Sierra-1's. Completely seamless at 80hz.

I would think the Towers would be the same at 80hz, and even lower. If I had Towers, I think I would try 50-60hz.

Interesting. I've never done it manually. What is the process?

For home theater I have been using 60Hz. I don't use a subwoofer for music. I will say tha we have customers using anywhere from 80Hz and down. Much of this depends on your room modes so what works for someone else, might not work for you. Go with whatever sounds best :)
