help for friend

My friend is looking to purchase a pair of bookshelve speakers, i am trying to convince him into trying the cbm-170se. He as heard my sierras and he likes the way they sound. For some reason he is hooked on the Energy RC-10 even though he hasnt heard them. Has anybody listened to the energys, i have a feeling that the 170s will put them on the back shelf. What do you guys think

Have not heard the RC-10, but on the forums they are the current darlings because of how they are currently priced. People believe they are getting a great deal without really comparing.

AH, thanks Curtis. I will be going to his house soon to hear the RC-10s, The main thing keeping him from pulling the trigger on the 170's was the shape. I saw the measurements of the rc-10 and they are not on the same level as the 170's. The Price of the rc-10s is tempting

I think they retailed for around $600....but now can be had for $300. So people think they are getting a great deal...but someone is making money. :)

I know the Sierra's are better...I haven't heard the 170's but if they're anything close to the Sierra's tell him to get the cbm170's and this is coming from a Energy RC owner...;)
