Well i am a little bit tired of my BIC 62clrs pulling the weight of center duty. Is there anybody out there that is using the cmt-340 as a center with the sierras in front. Any input would be appreciated:cool:

Here is a post (http://forum.ascendacoustics.com/showpost.php?p=37846&postcount=16) by one member who tried the L/R Sierra-1 setup plus CMT-340 Center for a bit.

Also, based on this review (http://forum.ascendacoustics.com/showthread.php?t=4726), it appears that Dave and Dina recommend going with a Sierra L/C/R setup instead of a 340 Center. Read the paragraph starting with I ran across reviews and recommendations... just over halfway down.

Level matching might help with overall sensitivity differences, but the tonal balance, timbre, and dispersion characteristics between the two series would still be in play. If you're happy with the Sierras for FL/FR, I'd recommend going with another S-1 for center duties.

For what it's worth, I briefly considered the 340 Center as well. However, after some further research, I'll be opting for a S-1 center or STC. My older Yamaha center is OK for now since I do 90% 2-channel music, but there is a dramatic difference between it and my Sierras.

Gotta save up the pennies for that upgrade. :D
