Heard a loud crash in the middle of the night; spent 15 minutes looking around and couldn't find anything. Woke up this morning and found one of the Sierra's had fallen out of it's wall mount.

After doing a sound test it seems quieter the difference could be physiological. What would be the best way to do a real test?

That's a bummer  I thought I felt a disturbance in the force last night, but I attributed it to kids getting ready to go back to school.

I suppose it would take an spl meter to know for sure about the loudness, but my guess is that it's fine.

eeek... I wouldn't be able to live with that... I'd be hitting up dave begging him to sell me a new enclosure (I suppose the tweeter could be damaged, but I highly doubt anything would possibly be wrong with the woofer or crossover if it was only 5ft)

SPL meter is the answer to testing. However, I doubt that there was any component damage. Have you beefed up the wall mount on the other one??
This could give you justification to order a pair of Towers.:D

Talked to Dina today. She's going to get a quote on a new cabinet.
I might just take a Sharpie to it and relegate it to the rear of my 7.1 setup. :p

Bummer!

Weird damage... Did you have the speakers sitting upside down? Looks like the front top right and left corners have been damaged, as well as the rear top corner... Quite a tumble that must have been... Poor little guy :(
