Although way late to the Sierra party, I'm very glad I jumped in.

Thanks to Dina for helping me with a late afternoon order and to Dave for his patient help in explaining Sierra's numerous attributes.

I'm driving the natural bamboo beauties with an Onkyo receiver going into an Emotiva XPA-3. I use a Sage HD300 media player that streams HD BluRay audio and high rez FLAC to the Onkyo via HDMI.

The Sierras can produce amazingly clear and articulate sound -- I can easily validate earlier posts.

The bass quality is surprising, very fast and deep. Listening to Diana Krall's "Love Songs" DTS CD, the song "My Love" has a throbbing, resonant standing bass opening, and it's reproduced so nicely on the Sierras.

I've heard other speakers just get lost with that opening, with one bass thrum spilling into another, but as I said, the Sierras go deep with the note and then... vanish.

For HT, I have a Craigsub Chase Home Theater 18.1 sealed 18" sub coming in next week and hope it plays well with the Sierras.

Dave, looking forward to your impressions on stacked Sierras! :D

Wow, what clarity to those photos! Rather like the Sierras' sound you describe. :) Very nice.

Stacking two Sierras one on top of the other, now there's creativity. I bet the new towers would sound better though. ;) Now when is that listening session I've heard talk about ....
