Can I use Mineral Spirit (Solvent) to remove Museum Wax on my speaker without damaging the paint ? I just want to make sure I do not do any damage before I start removing this wax

Have you tried basic Isopropyl alcohol? This is what we use here in the shop.

I actually used a plastic to scrap it of (my itouch packing :) ) it came of with no
problems and no scratches ( I was very careful ) then I used a cotton cloth to
wipe of the residue wax.

By the way I have had these speakers for a few months now and just LOVE them.

Thank you so much for a great product

I know there are other threads on the subject, but I use a "sticky tac" to adhere the sierra-1s to my stands. Not sure which brand works the best, but the one I use is:

UHU white Tac (http://www.amazon.com/Saunders-Removable-Adhesive-Putty-99683/dp/B0000AQODM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=office-products&qid=1283802040&sr=1-1)

Plenty strong and easy to remove without damaging the finish. It takes a bit of gentle persuading to get the Sierras off the stands after they have been tacked down for a while, but once off the stand, the putty peels off very easily. And if you're really stingy, the stuff's reusable too! :)

Ahhhh to late I already used the wax on it again. I will keep this in mind next time I have to take the speakers of the stand for any reason.
