I finally bought a blu-ray player. Now I want to buy some concert blu-ray disks to go with it. So far I bought Blue Man Group: How to Be a Megastar. It would be much appreciated if anyone could suggest some good concert disks. I mainly listen to rock music. Pretty much any kind of rock music from classic rock to metal. But I'm also open to most other music except country.

If you like Metal, I'd suggest Iron Maiden's "Flight 666."

I highly recommend Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's. This is one superb blu ray - fantastic audio and the performance is top notch. The bass player looks like she is 14 years old but she knows what she is doing.. All around a great concert.

Here's a link to the blu-ray forum music thread. There's some good discussion over there: http://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=90

If this is in your area of interest, I recommend "Heart: Live in Seattle". The image is great and the sound is wonderful. They do Led Zep's "Battle of Evermore" and "Black Dog" as well as their big hits. It's a nice concert video.

Even though it's not on blu-ray, check the Eric Clapton "Crossroads" videos, especially the 2007 festival. The image is very sharp for DVD and the sound is great.

Stumbled upon "The Last Waltz" by The Band at Costco recently. Remastered in blu-ray from the 1976 film of their last concert. Lots of great artists on it; Dylan, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and more. Not the greatest picture but the music and audio quality are great. Definitely worth the $10 paid.

Queen Rock Montreal has phenomenal sound. Picture is OK but nothing to write home about.

+1.

You can also test the dynamics of your system with 'I love my car' :-) I rented the Blu-ray from Netflix and will buy it shortly.
