I'm getting closer to taking the plunge with some ascend speakers however I am somewhat cautious due to my receiver. Its an Onkyo 604, and I'm concerned that there may be a disparity between the quality of the receiver and the quality of the ascend speakers. Is this a valid concern?

And also, does the Onkyo 604 have enough juice to fully power the ascends? My potential setup would be 340 center with 170s as the F/R speakers.

Here is a link to the 604 specs :

Thanks much for any help!

You should be fine. I am using an Onkyo TX-SR703 with Sierra-1's L/R, and it does the job nicely.

I was using a HK avr 65 with 75 watts perch. it pushed my l/r/c 340's very well. Im using a onkyo 606 now and it does fantastic as well. Shouldnt be a problem at all.
