Thanks for the link. There is some good music on the sampler. I did the 320 download but would like to try FLAC if I can figure it out.

Hi Curtis - I've never done FLAC so I'm unsure of what to do with it after the download. Do I have to convert the FLAC file after I download it or can I just burn it as is? I have a program called Audioconverter Studio which does all that but I have never used it.

FLAC is a lossless audio format. You would need something that is able to play the file....much like you have something that will play MP3 files.

If you have a PC, you can use foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/). It's kind of the Swiss army knife of media players. It's free and really simple to use. You can also use it to convert to other formats.

i use foobar too, but if you are looking for something that looks a bit more like iTunes or something, MediaMonkey is a fairly good playback program. I have a squeezebox, so that's what I use to get FLAC from my computer to my speakers.

What's not to like about the looks of it? It's extremely customizeable. Here's the way mine looks on my work computer (click on the images to enlarge):

You can download a free tool call Trader's Little Helper that can decode FLAC into WAV (and encode WAV into FLAC if needed), then you can burn the WAV's to CD as you normally would.

winamp also works great for flac, and includes converters for CD's to flac, pretty effortlessly.
