Speaker Stands Hsu MBM-12

I have 340s using the TP-24 pedestal stands. I am thinking about getting a pair of MBM-12's and placing them upfront and use them as speaker stands. I believe they are 19" high. This will lower the total speaker height by 5". Will this make a noticeable difference in sound? Will the bass module serve as a decent stand without rattling? Has anyone here tried this setup?

I don't have 340SE's, but this is what I did with Sierra-1's:

I have an Auralex Gramma under the MBM-12 and Auralex MoPads between that and the Sierra-1. The combined height of the three (Gramma/MBM-12/MoPad) is the same as the TP-24 stand.
