Hi,

I'm trying to decide on a set of front speakers for a dedicated HT room that is 20'x17' with 10' ceilings. I already have the 340SE center and HTM-200SE surrounds and have a MFW-15 on order.
My question is do you think (with the current discount) the 170SEs will be able to drive this space or do you think I need to spring for the 340SEs?

Also I'm thinking of getting the onkyo 605 or 705 receiver. What do you guys think of this receiver with this setup?

Thanks for your help.

I would go for the 340SE in that size room. Prices on the Onkyo receivers have been coming down recently. Get the best one you can afford. You can get the 805 for $720 after 10% off coupon.

Instead of the 605, consider the new Onkyo TX-R606, the first under $500 (street) receiver with the Dynamic EQ version of Audyssey

That's a good choice too. I believe it has 4 HDMI inputs.
