Cables are not included. You can order some from Ascend or you can get some elsewhere.

Most speakers do not come with speaker wire. Except for maybe home theater in a box systems. Even then, they cables they give you are probably very low quality.

Note - I'm not saying you have to buy expensive monster cables or anything.

It is two cables for connecting two speakers....each 8' long.

Hi goldfish1, you can also purchase cables in bulk from Ascend. In bulk (any length) they are an exceptional value at $1.00 per foot. I highly recommend them.
I purchased a 50ft. length (25ft. per side) recently, and will very likely purchase another 60ft.(30ft per side).

You simply need to use your own connecting cable ends, banana plugs, etc.

Hi goldfish, Sorry if I confused you, It is $1.00 per foot at 50ft.length minimum, plus $8.00 for shipping, total would be $58.00.

Also total gauge is 11.2

why are there 4 conductors in each cable? i thought each speaker only requires 2?

Go to Home Depot and get some lamp cord. It'll cost you only a few dollars. No different than the expensive cable.

Hi goldfish, while I cannot answer your question from a technical point of view. I feel I can say that most likely Ultralink choose this approach as a means to achieving there design objectives.

I could not find the earlier thread where these cables were tested by Ascend with very good results.
When used as recommended.

Also, 4 conductor cable can be used in other applications.
heres a brief discussion,

You can combine the conductors to end up with a high gauge two conductor wire.

Perhaps if you'd just say what you're trying to accomplish, we can make recommendations.
