Ascend 170se vs onix x-ls

Anyone compare these 2 yet? Are the x-ls even a match for the ascends?

Yes, I have.

In my honest opinion, no, not a match for the 170SE's. The two speakers sound very different, and I highly suggest you compare the two...or else you will not stop wondering. :)

I've compared the X-LS's to the Ascend 200's, Classic 340's and 340SE's over an extended period. They are quite different. I much prefer the Ascends acoustically for a number of reasons but for the price, the X-LS's are a very good value. The X-LS's are not Ascends at a lower price. They stand on their own and which you'd prefer is up to you and your personal preferences.
