Ascends "Revealing"

Hi All,

I have been considering the 170SE for L/R and the 340SE for the CC. My HT setup which will be 90% usage on DVD movies while the other 10% for music, tv programming. I have read many places that the speakers are neutral and are revealing so they are not very forgiving on bad recordings. Since I am going to use the speakers mostly for movies need I worry? One of my main concern is dialogue during movies. Are there other things I should consider using these for a HT type setup?

I run classic 170's and I have heard the 340SE center in another system. No worries at all. Dialogue will be crisp and clear even at low volume.

I have 170SE's for mains, 340SE center and 200 surrounds. They are AWESOME!! Have no fear!!

Nope. :)

I intended to use the Outlaw gear for a while, then swap back to the H/K and see what difference I noticed, but I haven't had the chance.

Being the big "Rush" fan that I am, I finally bought one of the remaster CD's. I bought "2112" and when I put the remaster on, I was blown away at how good it sounded compared to my old CD copy!! It sounded like a blanket was taken off. Man, these speakers are very revealing!! Now to replace the rest of my Rush collection :D
