Damn that looks nice. I personally was thinking of printing some designs on a photographic paper and wrapping it around my Ascends. : P

Thanks for the pics. I just wanted to get another look at those beatiful speakers.
Do you think it was worth the upgrade?

Yes, I think it's worth it and I'm planning on upgrading my 340c. So far, I've only been listening to music on the SE's, but I'm very happy with them. I expect that, for movies, upgrading the center will make much more of a difference since most of the content is there.
I'll put it this way, I think my next upgrades will be electronics rather than speakers (perhaps the sub). I'm contemplating something like an Emotiva UL amp or Outlaw 7125 amp, but I also lost the source in my second system the other day and need a replacement. I'm considering upgrading the player on the Ascend system and moving the Pioneer 563a into the second system as the source. Maybe a Cambridge 540D (I don't care too much about the video since I run interlaced to my 4805 and let it handle the video processing, which it does well).

Very cool Brad. Since it is spring, might you end up custom veneering the center channel too?

That's a possibility, but I haven't decided yet. I'd have to think a bit more about how I would do the veneering and then talk to Dave about how the transaction would work (it's more like buying a bare MDF 340SEc and trading in a classic 340c).
