got my 170s back

after abusing one of the woofers on the 170s, ascend told me to bring both of them in and they replaced both with more durable woofers....amazing... they are back as my mains again for now and moved the 340s for surrounds...woohoo!!!

listening to alison krauss now and she sounds so good!

A couple of questions:

1. There have been changes to the 170 woofer over the years? I always thought they had stayed exactly the same? Is it just a physical change, with no real audible change?

2. You use 170s for mains and 340s for surrounds? Or am I misunderstanding?

the replacement woofer looks and sounds the same to me...you have to ask ascend for confirmation on this

yes i do use the 170s for my mains and the 340s for surrounds...the 170s are amazing...i switch them around every so often
