This is my last stand question. I'm getting 170s for rear speakers and I was wanting to use these for stands...

They are not fillable though I don't believe. They only weigh about 15 lbs, so I was wondering if they would be sturdy enough to support some 170s?

Those will work just fine. I use the 30" Metal-Technology stand(same co.) which does allow sand/shot filling used to deaden any sort of ringing that might occur from a hollow steel tube resonating.

Thanks Mag. I was thinking the sand was just to weight them down. I hadn't thought about the purpose you mention.
Happen to have any pics? :)
