Edit - Frappr no longer exists.

What do you think guys? A good way for people to see if there is someone around to demo for them? I have no problem giving control over to the fourm mods to maintain this if they want as well.

Hmmm. It's kind of a pain, but I did it by clicking "remove" to delete myself, and then re-adding my info back in, but browsing and including a photo unlike before. I'm still trying to figure out how all of this works. There must be a better way.

No problem Dave, just trying to do my part :) Like I said, if you or the forum mods would like to have admin access just shoot me a pm and I'll send the password.

I would also like to use the Ascend Logo as the "group photo" if that is okay with you. Just thought I would check first (and see if you had a good copy under 1.5mb) :)

Who the heck is their cartographer? They used the little suburb of Pasadena for Houston.

What's up with Ascend owners east of Texas?

Yeah, that's weird. Except for a pocket around the Los Angeles area, so far it looks like the rest is East of a line drawn south from Fargo, ND. Are those of us on the "right" side of the US the only ones that know what an excellent sounding speaker is??? I think Ascend HQ should enter their ZIP too.

Hi newbie here, I have been lurking around on the internet researching speakers for awhile now since I live in the middle of nowhere and there are no speaker stores around.
I think I'm very close to being a PA representative on the map for ascend :D I think I may wait to get the SE's :)
Unfortunately, I think my room limits me to a multipole surround (I have no way to fire them accross my listening area).

There are 50 states and of all of them GA seems to be lacking owners? Step up now and be counted... I sure could use some time listening to these 170 SE's or 340 SE's if anyone can pony up some time for me. I am willing to bring my sub out as well if you don't have one at this time. Please let me know so I can decide. I live near Lawrenceville, GA

Thats right 340 SE mains 340 SE center and 170 SE surrounds to go with my VTF2 mk2 . I cant wait till they get here. It is torture waiting especially to Anchorage Alaska . Thanks for all of the help in making my decision . Reading all of the threads here have made my decision so easy . And most of you dont even know that you were helping so many of us new audiophiles make informed decisions . I shiver at the thought of almost being one of those unfortunate persons that go to a retail store and make a split second decision and regretting it for years . Anything I can ever do for any of you just let me know .. Thanks again . Scott

Just added myself to the map - that makes two of us in Utah. :)

Actually, I've been an Ascend owner for nearly a year now. I gradually replaced my entire speaker system, starting with the 340SE Center speaker and then moving to 340 Classics for the mains. I just got a pair of B-stock 170SEs for the surrounds. Definitely a case where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts (which are themselves quite considerable) - the whole system sounds beautiful.

Maybe one day my wife will let me upgrade from our current Velodyne sub to a HSU, but it already delivers plenty of juice for our midsize living room.

AudibleConnoisseur is asking permission to be listed and inserted in the Frapper Map for the state of GA! I am in the Dacula, GA area. I just need to know what else to do to get on board and listed with my 340SE mains, 340SE center and HTM200's pulling surround duties. Round that out with a solid VTF-2 MK 3 HSU sub and my estate will be producing some quality audible sound with the low 16-18Hz extension to back up the great movie scenes and 32" pipe organ music  !

Hello all, I'm looking to audition some 340SE in southern Arizona (Tucson) area. I've read too many good things about these not to have had a chance to listen to them yet.

New to the forum and currently going through a speaker search for my new HT. I have a real strong interest in Ascend Sierra Towers (and Horizon) for HT. Need to find someone in the Central New Jersey, North New Jersey, NYC area that will be gracious enough to spend a little time with me for a demo of the Towers. Will also travel to South Jersey or Philly area if needed to expand the possibilities of a listen to these speakers. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I am pretty far away (about 6 hours I think) but if you want to come to Athens, Ga, I have the towers with Raals you can hear.

Ohh thanks! So you guys use 'em to upgrade your Ascend speakers? In which speakers you install 'em? Is it that good? I've got CMT-340's and CBM-170's.

Btw, I live in São Paulo/Brazil.

The RAAL Ribbons are used in the Sierra line. First in the towers & Horizon, then used in a custom Sierra-1 version. We have yet to see what tweeter will be used in the upcoming Sierra-2 monitor.

Do we have any alternative for Frappr?

I am in Michigan, and I want to audition Sierra Towers and bookshelf.

New guy here from central Indiana that would like to audition some Sierra Towers, preferably Raal tweeters, but the NRT's would suffice.

Anyone near N. VA with Sierra-1's or the CMT340's? I'm interested in both, but would like to hear them before buying. Thanks.

I'm in NVA and would be happy to give you a listen on my system. I've got both, plus a second set of Sierras with nRt upgrade plus CBM170's plus HTM200's, and Rythmik F12, all SE. Send me a PM and we can set something up.

Hi Dave,

I ordered the towers and horizon with RAAL yesterday. Wanted to talk to you but I guess you were not available. I need some suggestion the room is prewired for 7.1 and surround speakers (4) are prewired in ceiling. I was thinking of going with 4 HTM 200 SE 's and use some ceiling mounts to install them. Do you have a better suggestion.

Thanks

Thanks for getting your order in!!

Our HTM-200's would be perfect for this and they will work will with the towers as fronts. This is the most popular surround speaker with your setup...

Thanks again!
