Just got my new Ascends last night, wow.

I ordered 170 fronts, 340 center, and 200 for surrounds plus VTF 3-MKII. I only had time to hook up the fronts and center last night, and without any calibration at all, these things sound fantastic out of the box. I was curious to see how the imaging was, as I'd read it was excellent, and in 2 channel it sounded like the sound was coming from the center, but it wasn't even turned on. Simply amazing, I had to get out of my chair twice to make sure the center wasn't on. I will post more when all speakers and sub are hooked up and calibrated, but it's already been an amazing experience, these speakers are better than I could have imagined.

I had to get out of my chair twice to make sure the center wasn't on.

I've owned my Ascend's for several months now and I still do this occasionally.

Hehe, glad to hear you went to check the center channel. I used to do the same thing. Now I trick other people....hehe... :D
