I apologize for the delay on this question. I had to do some testing... Q-Plugs work fine with the Sierra-2, however -- since the bass response of the Sierra-2 is different -- in general, the use of Q-Plugs with Sierra-2 will be less likely. For those who have Q-Plugs, I suggest experimenting.

Thanks for the info. I will remove the Q-Plugs and try them with a clear port for a while. I've been using Q-Plug B to tame some of the boom in my room, as well as to deepen bass response.

What would be the effect of plugging the port completely ( like with a sock or something?)

    Hi Invictus005,

Welcome to the forum. Magnetic grilles present a few problems with our solid bamboo cabinets, this type of material is quite a bit more difficult work with than MDF which is simply painted over or veneered.

With regard to our binding post spacing, we receive a LOT of compliments regarding the 2" spacing. Regarding you reference to "standard" spacing, if your are referring to the typical spacing for dual banana plugs (3/4"), this is much too close of spacing for the high quality binding posts we use and since the plugs are inserted directly into the cabinet, the 3/4" spacing leaves very little wood between the posts which compromises cabinet integrity.

    Hope this makes sense!
